Who are you?

⊹₊ ˚‧︵‿₊୨୧₊‿︵‧ ˚ ₊⊹

Thalita's body is still as she gazes upon the figure in the ancient plaza. For many years, she kept track of the underground drude world in hopes that she'll find him. When the informant told her about an albino boy that arrived in Brazil, she wasted no time to chase him.

"G-Gael...", she reaches out to him, as if he could disintegrate into nothing.

The albino freezes and slowly turns. His expression is solemn, but it's quickly replaced with an obviously fake smile. "Gael? Oh sweetie, you must be confusing me with someone else", his voice was light and sweet sounding, but Thalita knew him enough. This was an act, and she was confident this was him. She starts to approach him, and his brows furrow. It seems like they both analyze each other with how they just stood still in silence. Thalita notes that his outfit is kind of...gaudy. She would've never expected him to wear something like a pink leopard print jacket, but that's beside the point.

Her fists clench, "So first you abandoned me and now you're pushing me away? Why are you being so cruel?"

"Sweetie, I'm telling you, you got the wrong person. I don't know who this 'Gael' person is", his fake, sweet voice is just sickening. "Then who are you and why are you here? Do you know the signifigance of this place?!", Thalita couldn't help but let her frustrations out. This was a bit out of character for her, but she waited so many years for him. She held onto the hope that they could meet again, yet here he is now. Acting like he doesn't even know her. He doesn't know how special he was to her.

His smile falters, and his shoulders visibly tense. He lets out a shaky breath, "I am nothing, I am empty. I'm just here to say goodbye to a dead woman."

Thalita's eyes widen, "A dead woman..? Is it your mother? I-I heard about her, we can go together..! Gael please!"

The man just shakes his head, his lips pursed, "She's no mother.", he then covers everything up with a perfectly practiced smile, "Anyways, you should forget about this 'Gael'. A cutie like you shouldn't worry so much about a useless man"

Tears start to sting Thalita's eyes. This isn't Gael, this is all an act. She knows it, but why is he acting like this? Before she could say anything else, he was already gone. Thalita's legs give out and she starts to cry on the ancient plaza floor.

Hidden in the Amazon's flora, he watches her. His guilt is immeasureable, but he convinces himself that this was the right thing to do.
