ALRIGHT, I wanted to take the time to talk about my current style icon (and music obsession in general)... Trent Reznor. Usually I don't gush as much about celebrities, especially due to how I DESPISE the way people treat celebrities, but I just can't help but admire this man's fashion. This shows a very good rough demonstration of Trent's fashion over the years, but I feel like I just HAVE to get even deeper. Of course, Trent's most ICONIC outfit would be the 1994 Woodstock performance. I mean, he and the rest of the band covered themselves in mud and shit ON PURPOSE and then proceeded to deliver such an iconic performance. This outfit is LITERALLY in the rock and roll hall of fame due to how ICONIC it is. Although, even without the mud I would argue that this is still such a banger outfit. The ripped up shorts, the distressed tanktop, and of course the latex gloves to pull it all together. Back then, latex was basically the STAPLE for Nine Inch Nails, which reminds me a bit of Judas Priest and Depeche Mode. Knowing how Trent was inspired by DM in some aspects, like the halo number, I won't be surprised if he pulled some of his fashion influence from them too. Trent's outfit in Wish is simple, but it's oh so good. I usually find mens fashion so boring, and it's due to how a lot of men and designers are afraid of things that are too femimine. Trent, on the other hand, decides to straight up bust out the fishnets and these Terri King shorts that come with garters...and he rocked them. I'm actually in the process of making the Terri King shorts, which I first called them "slut shorts" due to the absolute CUNT that's in these shorts. The main difference is that I'm making mine out of denim instead of leather because I'm not the most skilled at sewing (I mostly crochet). My FAVORITE outfit would be from the March of the Pigs music video. It's simple, and yet it's so effective. Once again, I'm planning on recreating this outfit for myself. I swear, Trent Reznor is going to be the reason why I wear pants again (I usually wear skirts and dresses lol). The mesh shirt just somehow makes this outfit look SO GOOD despite it being so simple. I also just ADORE Trent's hair style during the 90s. I will admit, that I do love myself some pretty men with long hair, but that's Mariqueen's man and I also have my own pretty boy. But UGHH I love the layers he had in his hair so much. I WANT IT, BUT GOD DAMMIT MY HAIR IS CURLY AND I PREFER IT LONGER. If I finish the slut shorts or any other Trent Reznor related outfit projects, I'll probably update this post with images. Then again, it'll probably take FOREVER for me to end up finishing it due to busy I am. Oh well. We chillin.
